I am considering a used 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The seller says it has the equipment associated with 17U, and the code description is “Primary exterior color: Switchblade Silver Metallic (09). This code identifies the vehicle's factory-applied main exterior paint color” What physical details should I inspect to make sure the listing is accurate?

A clear photo of the build label, VIN report, and the relevant component would help. Do not post the full VIN publicly; the last eight characters are normally enough for a parts-counter discussion.

I have seen this on a similar Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The basic description was correct, but one related feature was part of a separate package. I would not assume the code includes every item mentioned in marketing material.

Some codes are reused across several brands, but that does not always mean the parts are identical. Model, trim, drivetrain, and production date can all matter.

I found a second document with the same code, so it looks like the original configuration is confirmed. The marketing name was what caused the confusion.
