I found code 36S while decoding the build information for my 2025 Chevrolet Traverse. The description I have is “Interior stitching color: Yellow. This code identifies the factory decorative stitching or piping color” Has anyone verified what this includes on this model and year? I am mainly trying to understand whether it identifies one component or a complete option package.

If the feature is listed but not working, scan all related modules before assuming it was removed. A stored fault, replacement module, or configuration mismatch can make original equipment appear absent.

I would avoid buying retrofit parts until the connectors and module support are confirmed. Returning electronic or VIN-programmed components can be difficult.

The wording may be abbreviated because these were originally production codes rather than consumer descriptions. “Interior stitching color: Yellow. This code identifies the factory decorative stitching or piping color” is a reasonable plain-English reading, but the exact implementation should be verified for the 2025 model.

I have seen this on a similar Chevrolet Traverse. The basic description was correct, but one related feature was part of a separate package. I would not assume the code includes every item mentioned in marketing material.

I found a second document with the same code, so it looks like the original configuration is confirmed. The marketing name was what caused the confusion.
