How reliable is 25T when checking factory equipment?

My 2023 Buick Enclave shows 25T: “Roof/top color: Blue Gray Metallic (93). This code identifies the factory color, material, or configuration used for the roof or convertible top” The vehicle has had previous owners, so I am trying to separate factory equipment from later modifications. Is this code enough to confirm how it left the factory?

I would avoid buying retrofit parts until the connectors and module support are confirmed. Returning electronic or VIN-programmed components can be difficult.

That code should be read as a factory configuration identifier, not necessarily a guarantee of a separate dashboard control. Some equipment operates automatically or is bundled with another system.

My experience has been positive, but the benefit depends on how the vehicle is used. I would treat 25T as confirmation of the configuration, then evaluate whether that equipment matters for your driving.

For a retrofit, check the modules, wiring connectors, software configuration, and compatible part numbers first. Installing the visible component alone may not make the feature operational.
