4DP — Interior trim: Cocoa/Dune. This code identifies the factory upholstery material, color combination, or interior trim specification. Browse RPO codes →

The VIN report includes 4DP, described as “Interior trim: Cocoa/Dune. This code identifies the factory upholstery material, color combination, or interior trim specification” I would like to archive the correct information with the vehicle. Is there another factory document that normally confirms this code?

I would avoid buying retrofit parts until the connectors and module support are confirmed. Returning electronic or VIN-programmed components can be difficult.

This sounds more like a documentation mismatch than a decoder error. Different databases often shorten the same factory description in different ways.

If the feature is listed but not working, scan all related modules before assuming it was removed. A stored fault, replacement module, or configuration mismatch can make original equipment appear absent.
