I am comparing configurations and one vehicle includes 24L, described as “Secondary exterior color: Opal Blue Metallic. This code identifies the factory-applied secondary paint used in a two-tone or special paint scheme” Owners who have it, would you consider it useful and would you look for it again?

The wording may be abbreviated because these were originally production codes rather than consumer descriptions. “Secondary exterior color: Opal Blue Metallic. This code identifies the factory-applied secondary paint used in a two-tone or special paint scheme” is a reasonable plain-English reading, but the exact implementation should be verified for the 2023 model.

I would start by checking the original build sheet and then compare the physical equipment on the vehicle. A sales or option code confirms the factory record, but it does not prove that every original component is still installed.

I have seen this on a similar Chevrolet Tahoe. The basic description was correct, but one related feature was part of a separate package. I would not assume the code includes every item mentioned in marketing material.

Some codes are reused across several brands, but that does not always mean the parts are identical. Model, trim, drivetrain, and production date can all matter.
